Write your carousel like a note. Every blank line becomes a new slide with a title and a body.
Bold, Minimal, Notebook, Gradient Pop, Dark Tech and Quote keep every slide consistent.
Name, @handle and avatar in a footer bar, plus slide counter, swipe arrow and progress dots.
Download one slide, all slides as a ZIP, or a multi-page PDF ready for LinkedIn documents.
Carousel posts are the most-saved format on Instagram and the best-performing organic format on LinkedIn, but designing six to ten matching slides in a design tool takes an hour. Carousel Maker shortens that to a few minutes: you write, it lays out. Type or paste your text into the Content box and separate slides with a blank line. The first line of each block becomes the slide title and the remaining lines the body. Pick a template, adjust colors and fonts, add your name and handle, and download.
Most people decide whether to swipe within a second. The first slide needs a promise or a tension, not a title: "5 mistakes new freelancers make" works because it implies a list the reader can check against themselves. Carousel Maker renders the first slide in a larger hook style so the promise is readable even in a small feed thumbnail.
Slides are not pages. Keep one point, one short headline and at most three lines of body text on each. If a point needs more, split it in two slides. The built-in slide counter ("3/7") and the swipe arrow tell readers how much is left and nudge them to keep going, which increases the share of people who reach the end and see your call to action.
Saves and shares happen on the last slide. Ask for exactly one action: follow, save, or share with a specific person ("send this to a freelancer friend"). The CTA slide is editable and repeats your handle, so your profile is visible even when the carousel is reshared as a screenshot.
Instagram accepts up to 20 slides per carousel. Use 1080 × 1350 px (4:5) for the feed: it fills more of the screen than a square and Instagram keeps it sharp. Square 1080 × 1080 still works everywhere, and 1080 × 1920 (9:16) is for Stories. All slides must share one aspect ratio, otherwise Instagram crops them to the first slide.
LinkedIn does not have image carousels; instead you upload a PDF document, and LinkedIn turns each page into a swipeable slide. Portrait 4:5 pages (1080 × 1350) read best on mobile, which is where most LinkedIn feed time happens. Keep the file under 100 MB and under 300 pages, use real text in the first lines of your post (the PDF text itself is not indexed), and give the document a descriptive title.
Yes. You can write unlimited slides, use the six free templates, customise colors, fonts and the brand footer, and download slides as PNG for free with a small watermark badge. Carousel Maker Pro is an optional one-time upgrade that removes the watermark, allows up to 20 slides per ZIP or PDF export, adds 2x export, LinkedIn PDF export, four premium templates and unlimited saved brand kits.
Use 1080 × 1350 pixels (4:5 portrait) for feed carousels: it takes up the most screen space and Instagram keeps it sharp. Square 1080 × 1080 (1:1) also works, and 1080 × 1920 (9:16) is for Stories. All slides in one carousel must share the same ratio, which this tool guarantees.
LinkedIn carousels are PDF documents. Select the LinkedIn format, design your slides, and export a multi-page PDF (one slide per page). In LinkedIn, start a post, choose Add a document, upload the PDF and give it a title. LinkedIn renders each page as a swipeable slide.
Yes. Select a slide, upload a JPG, PNG or WebP and choose whether it sits at the top, at the bottom or behind the text as a full-bleed background with a color overlay. You can also pick cover (fill) or contain (fit) for each image. Images stay on your device.
No. Every slide is drawn with the HTML Canvas API inside your browser. Text, images and brand settings are stored in your browser's localStorage so they are there when you come back, and nothing is sent to a server.
Instagram allows up to 20 slides, LinkedIn documents can be much longer, but engagement data consistently favours 6 to 10 slides: a strong hook, one idea per slide and a clear call to action at the end. Free exports include up to 5 slides; Pro raises the limit to 20.
